Note Taking App User Comments on Touch Arcade

I still haven’t found the ultimate, yet….

I’ve tried MagicPad, WritingPad and TextGuru

SimpleNote sounds promising but only web sync, API to be released in the future so maybe devs like voodooPad can support desktop.

Take a note from the Readdle guy also has some good reviews.

My top 2:

Notebook by Appigo – password private notes, global search, landscape and basic markup, sync to web or email, desktop sync is in the future. good supportive devs with updates.

WritePad Notes by Phatware- hand write your notes or type, landscape, spellcheck, REAL desktop transfer access (needs freeware diskaid), cut and paste, search only note title.

I use both and each has it’s strengths and weaknesses

I like the search and overall polish of Notebook but hate the lack of desktop sync.

I love hand writing and desktop access of WritePad Notes; it actually has great recognition for me just with plain finger (pogo stylus functions poorly) I like to write naturally when journalling.

good luck and post if you find some good app!

WritePad Notes Edition is a simple notes organizer for iPhone and iPad Touch based on the WritePad text editor. You can view and edit your notes in landscape and portrait modes using either WritePad handwriting recognition or the standard iPhone keyboard. You can sort notes by creation date, modification date, or note title in an ascending or a descending order. You can also copy and paste text between notes, or filter notes by characters or words found in the note title.
